Sta. Maria is a first-class municipality in the province of Bulacan. It is bounded by Angat and Norzagaray on the North, Balagtas and Bocaue on the West, Marilao on the South, and San Jose Del Monte on the East. According to the 2020 census, there are an estimated 289, 820 people living in the municipality.

Sta. Maria is known to be the hometown of one of the Philippines’ greatest poets, Jose Corazon De Jesus or Huseng Batute and the Father of Kundiman Art Song, Francisco Santiago. It also played an important role in Philippine history because of Veteranos de la Revolucion.
